Originally beer was not filtered, since it was the flavour rather than the appearance that was decisive. Ladenburger Zwick´l is a full-bodied specialty beer with a light, yeasty aroma, a malty note and all the healthy ingredients contained in malt, hops and yeast.

Appearance, Aroma and Taste
A rich yellow beer with a clean, slightly yeasty, fresh aroma. On the tongue it is full-bodied but gentle, harmonious, sparkling and fresh with a well-balanced hop bitterness that subtly dies away in its finish. The fact that it is unfiltered means that proteins in the form of easily digestible amino acids are completely retained in the beer, making it very agreeable to drink.
