Perfect beer enjoyment
There are two ways of pouring beer, each suited to one of the two different beer types.
Pouring top-fermented beer
When pouring our wheat beers, the glass should initially be held at a 45° angle. Towards the end of the pour the glass should be brought upright to allow the head to form. When the bottle is almost empty swirl it vigorously to pick up the yeast sediment and pour this on top.
Pouring bottom-fermented beer
When pouring bottom-fermented beers simply leave the glass or mug on the table and hold the bottle at a 90° angle. As the beer is poured, a thick foam head will form, which should be allowed to rest briefly (about 1 minute) before you continue to pour. The result will be a creamy, compact head.
